Jade is an open and compassionate psychologist who adopts a gentle approach to therapy, aiming to create a supportive and empowering environment for her clients. Central to Jade’s practise is a firm belief in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, wherein she recognises the importance of comfort in the therapeutic process and places a strong emphasis on building collaborative relationships with clients. Each client is met with genuine interest, warmth, and a non-judgmental attitude, creating a safe space for the exploration of authentic emotions. Jade respects the courage and vulnerability demonstrated by those seeking help, recognising each client’s unique qualities and tailoring her eclectic therapeutic approach to provide a personalised therapeutic experience.

Presenting Problems

Jade has experience working with people of all ages,
with particular strengths in supporting children, adolescents and their parents. Jade loves to utilise creative methods to engage with children, ensuring that the topics addressed feel meaningful to them. Jade also enjoys working with adolescents, recognising this developmental stage as rich self-discovery and growth. Additionally, she finds fulfilment in collaborating with parents, appreciating the unique opportunity to guide and support them through their journey in fostering their child’s well-being.

Jade utilises evidence-based treatment modalities to address a variety of concerns. Some of the approaches she incorporates include:

Jade completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland. Jade has specific clinical experience working with adolescents with severe eating disorders at the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). She also has experience working with adult inpatients and outpatients with various mental health difficulties at Belmont Private Hospital, providing both group and individual therapy. Additionally, her background involves supporting teenagers and their parents in a research trial focused on severe bullying and school refusal.
